LA PRENSA Iowa y The Denison Free Press se reunieron recientemente con los niños estudiantes del primer grado del programa dual de inglés y español de la escuela Denison Elementary Scholl de Denison, para hablar acerca de los dos periódicos. Los niños hicieron preguntas al Licenciado Gordon Wolf, periodista del periódico The Denison Free Press, que es una creación de LA PRENSA Iowa.
Tando las profesoras Mayra Velazquez y Megan Schroeder ambas del programa bilingüe, agradecieron a Gordon por explicarles a los niños el proceso de realización de un periódico. Cabe mencionar, que desde hace cinco años LA PRENSA Iowa forma parte del programa Business Partnership & Education to the Students of the Denison Community School District (compañero de negocios y educación del Distrito de Educacion de las escuelas de la comunidad de Denison, por su traducción al español). Este año La Prensa incorporó al programa educativo a su ‘hermano menor’ The Denison Free Press para hablarle a los niños acerca de la importancia de ser personas bilingües y las oportunidades de trabajo que esto representa al ser un adulto.
La placa otorgada a LA PRENSA Iowa por cinco años de negocio asociado al programa bilingüe dice: Presentado a LA PENSA por 5 años de Asociación Empresarial y Educación para los Estudiantes del Distrito Escolar Comunitario de Denison. Año Escolar 2023-2024

LA PRENSA Iowa and The Denison Free Press recently met with first-grade students from the dual English-Spanish program at Denison Elementary School in Denison to talk about the two newspapers. The children asked questions to Mr. Gordon Wolf, a journalist for The Denison Free Press newspaper, which is a creation of LA PRENSA Iowa.
Tando teachers Mayra Velazquez and Megan Schroeder, both from the bilingual program, thanked Gordon for explaining to the children the process of making a newspaper.
